The Continuing Education and Corporate Training department at Northeast Texas Community College recently offered a lively and engaging Country Western Dance class. Held on Monday nights at NTCC's Hanson-Sewell Center in Pittsburg, TX, the course drew a diverse group of participants eager to learn the basics of popular country western dance styles.
The class was taught by Carolyn Anders, a seasoned dance instructor with a passion for country western dance who was assisted by Macee Miller, who brought additional energy and expertise to the sessions. Over the course of several weeks, students were exposed to a variety of dance steps, including the two-step, triple step, waltz, double two-step, swing, and the ever-popular Cotton Eyed Joe.
Jimmy Smith, Director of Continuing Education and Corporate Training, shared his enthusiasm for the program, stating, “We’re thrilled to offer classes like this that bring the community together in a fun and educational environment. Carolyn and Macee did a fantastic job, and we look forward to hosting more courses with their help.”
This Country Western Dance class is just one of the many programs offered by the Continuing Education and Corporate Training department, which is committed to providing valuable learning experiences to the community. Keep an eye out for future classes and events to enhance your skills and connect with others in the region.
