Javier Paredes

Paredes with family.

Javier is a first-generation college student who is now a software engineer at Bell Flight in Fort Worth, TX. Javier’s journey began at NTCC, where he earned dual credits through Upward Bound, setting the stage for his successful career.

Graduating from Pittsburg ISD as the FIRST Hispanic Valedictorian, Javier earned his BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and The University of Texas at Arlington.

At NTCC, Javier worked in the Tech department alongside Kevin Frost, which sparked a passion for computing that led him to pivot from structural engineering to software engineering. Today, he works on cutting-edge products for aircraft development.

Javier gives back to our community by teaching an online AutoCAD course at NTCC, inspiring the next generation of engineers. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, watching football, grilling and smoking meats, fast cars, and using Twitter to teach others how to trade stocks and achieve financial freedom.

Talk about a servant heart! Join us in celebrating Javier Paredes’ journey and his contributions to the community!
