One Christmas Night in Memphis, the exciting holiday version of the official and number one tribute to Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash will be appearing live at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.m.
Get ready for a night of rockabilly, country, gospel and pure 1950's rock and roll - with a holiday flair! The show takes you back to that magical night of December 4th, 1956 when Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash found themselves jamming at Sam Phillip’s Sun Studios in Memphis, TN. Little did they know that their jam session was being recorded and preserved for all time, representing all the performers in their prime and the very best music of that time.
“We hosted the regular One Night in Memphis show a few years ago to rave reviews. This is a similar concept, but with your favorite Christmas songs. I have no doubt it will be a night to remember,” Carolyn Franks, Director of the Whatley Center, said.
One Christmas Night in Memphis is created and directed by John Mueller from the highly acclaimed show “Winter Dance Party” and has met with the same accolades and audience standing ovations. The San Francisco Examiner raves, “An Amazing Show!”
The NTCC performance is sponsored by Cypress Bank.
