Northeast Texas Community College is pleased to welcome alumna Stephani Calderon to campus on Tuesday, Oct. 24th for a seminar on How To Build A Debt Free Education. The free event is from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in Humanities 129 and pizza will be provided.
Stephani will share her personal story and how she achieved $300,000 in scholarships and offer strategies on how others can position themselves to earn scholarships.
Stephani is currently a growth strategy consultant for Accenture and also the founder of Beyond Borders, a social business. She grew up in Mt. Pleasant, Texas and graduated from NTCC as the first in her family to go to college. She was a part of SGA, Phi Theta Kappa, Enactus, and the Honors Council and with the help of her professors she received the Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship. She then transferred to the University of Texas at Austin for her bachelors in international business and later began her consulting career advising several Fortune 100 clients. She recently obtained her MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business allowing her to complete her entire education debt-free with more than $300k in scholarships. Stephani loves to read, run, and spend time with family and goldendoodle.
