The NTCC Division of Creative and Performing Arts recently named Tamara Kearney as Outstanding Design 1 student for the Fall 2020 semester.
"Tamara has been a creative and ideal art student since the first day of the fall 2020 semester. She not only came to every five-hour long class, but she came to many open art labs. She was always helpful to me and to other students. Her drive to produce the best art that she could, along with her ability to think on her feet, are superb assets in an artist. These characteristics will benefit her as a future art therapist, or anything else she chooses to do in life," Debbie Strong, Division Chair of Creative & Performing Arts, said.
It was honestly a pleasant surprise when Professor Strong awarded me Outstanding Design 1 Student for Fall 2020 semester. It's been a pleasure being in class and seeing what I've been able to accomplish creatively. My family has been very supportive of my choice to return to school and they are very proud of this accomplishment. Thank you so much for this award. I appreciate Professor Strong's enthusiasm for art and her faith in her students' creativity," Tamara Kearney said.
