The NTCC Art Department recently honored Amalyah DeLisi as the outstanding drawing student for the 2020 Fall semester.
"Amalyah DeLisi is the type of art student that doesn't come along every day. She has shown that her talent is unique. She is a hard worker and takes her assignments very seriously and works to the best of her ability. Her personality along with her talent makes her the ideal student every instructor enjoys having in their class," Maurya Beth Holland, art adjunct instructor, said.
"Art has been part of my life since I was pretty young and I'm not very good at. I've always used it to de-stress and help get my mind off the craziness of life. So it was cool that I got to take this art class and learn more about art and grow as an artist. It has helped me to appreciate art as more than just a hobby and grow my interest for what I can use art for in my future," DeLisi said.
