The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation participated in East Texas Giving Day on Tuesday, April 30. As a result of the event, the foundation raised a total of $77,517! NTCC received $26,375 in gifts from friends - $14,055 in online donations and $12,320 in hand-delivered gifts.  Additionally, NTCC also received three matching grants of $24,321 from the Texas Pioneer Foundation, $24,321 from the Title Five Coop Grant and $2,500 from the Burt Marans Trust.

“We are so thrilled with the response on East Texas Giving Day. This was our fourth year to participate in the event and we have raised more each consecutive year. Thank you so much to everyone who gave,” Nita May, NTCC Director of Development, said.

General funds raised through East Texas Giving Day will support the NTCC Work4College Program, which allows students to work in meaningful jobs on campus over the summer in order to earn their college education.

“We just accepted our 2019 class of Work4College students this week. The money raised on East Texas Giving Day will go a long way toward helping to ensure that this important program continues to grow and thrive in the years to come,” Dr. Jonathan McCullough, NTCC Vice President for Advancement, said.
