Northeast Texas Community College recently inducted 11 new members into Psi Beta, the national honor society in psychology for students at two-year colleges.
† † † †Inductees included (from left): Kealie Allen of Winnsboro, Yonatan Canada of Winfield, Austin Ayers of Linden, Derek Baughman of Mount Pleasant, Jessica Banks of Lone Star, Lauren Crooks of Mount Pleasant, Morgan Hutsell of Linden, Cynthia Leonard of Pittsburg, Eva Muniz of Daingerfield, and Avery Nash of Pittsburg. Erica Suiter was also inducted, but was not present at the ceremony.
† † † †Psi Beta chapters sponsor programs, activities, and participation in community service projects along with opportunities topresent research papers at regional meetings, attend national meetings, and compete for national awards. Students are chosen for membership based on their outstanding overall scholarship and their scholarship in the field of psychology. Psi Beta is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is an affiliate of the American Psychological Association and the American Psychological Society.
