A Northeast Texas Community College sophomore has been named a 2013 Coca-Cola Leader of Promise by the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Noah Griffin, of Pittsburg, is one of only 73 students worldwide who received this honor and a $1,000 scholarship.†The purpose of the Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise scholarship program is to provide new Phi Theta Kappa members with financial resources to help defray educational expenses while enrolled in a two-year college in order to develop leadership potential through participation in Society programs.†Griffin is the 2013-2014 President of NTCC's Alpha Mu Chi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa. He was very active in the chapter in his Freshman year and has participated in events at both the regional and national levels. In addition to Phi Theta Kappa, Griffin is a second-year Presidential Scholar at NTCC. He is pictured above (left) with Dr. Melissa Weinbrenner, Faculty Advisor to Alpha Mu Chi.
