The Lady Eagles are preparing for the post season for the first time in years after finishing third in the Region XIV Eastern Zone. NTCC finished with a conference record of 11-9 in 2013, trailing only Paris Junior College (15-5) and Navarro (14-6).
The Lady Eagles finished up the regular season winning five of their final six games, including sweeping Bossier Parish in the final matchup of the season.
The Lady Eagles split with Trinity Valley in the next to last series of the season, winning game one 7-4 before falling in game two, 0-3.
The Eagles jumped ahead quickly in game one, scoring three runs in the top of the first to grab a quick lead. Shelby Weldon singled to lead off the top of the third for the Eagles and later scored as NTCC pushed its lead to 4-0.
Trinity valley cut the lead to 4-1 in the bottom of the inning but the Eagles answered with three runs in the top of the fourth. NTCC was able to score the four runs in the inning as Kelsey Kirkland, Erica Graham, Alizabeth Autrey and Jessica Miller all singled.
Trinity Valley added runs in the sixth and the seventh but it was not enough as the Eagles held on to earn a 7-4 victory.
Katie Tapley picked up the win in the pitching circle for the Eagles.
The only runs of the second game came in the bottom of the fifth as Trinity Valley scored three and went on to earn a 3-0 victory.
The Eagles picked up wins in both of their games against Bossier Parish to close out the season, winning 6-0 and 3-1.

Haley Manson led off the bottom of the sixth with a double for the Eagles and pinch runner Amanda Shirley scored on a single by Graham. The Eagles added another run when Graham scored on a single by Garza as NTCC went on to pick up the victory.

Autrey picked up another RBI in the third inning, driving in Manson, who had led off the inning with a single. The Eagles? other run came in the fourth as Moulder led off with a double and later scored on a ground ball by Kirkland. Bossier Parish scored in the sixth but could not complete the comeback as NTCC held on for the victory.
