Psi Beta inducts 19 new members

Northeast Texas Community College recently inducted 19 new members into Psi Beta, the national honor society in psychology for students at two-year colleges.

Inductees pictured above from left are: Katherine Stroud of Quitman, Taylor Perry of Maud, Maverick Parker of Pittsburg, Amanda Moore of Lone Star, Caleb Mabry of Winnsboro, Haley Logan of Mount Pleasant, Brittany Logan of Mount Pleasant, Katie Smith of Daingerfield, Stephanie Murphy of Big Sandy, Meghan Robertson of Pittsburg, and Ashley Cabell of Mount Pleasant.

Inductees not in attendance were: Tiffany Bechelli, Brennen Blankenship, Melissa Cecil, Rylee Fortenberry, Melody Garrison, Isaac Griffin, Kellee Harper and Stephanie Lawson.

Psi Beta chapters sponsor programs, activities, and participation in community service projects along with opportunities topresent research papers at regional meetings, attend national meetings, andcompete for national awards. Students are chosen for membership based on their outstanding overall scholarship and their scholarship in the field of psychology. Psi Beta is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is an affiliate of the American Psychological Association and the American Psychological Society.
