NTCC faculty to honor top students

The faculty of Northeast Texas Community College will host the 20th Annual Student Awards Banquet on Thursday, April 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. The purpose of this banquet is to recognize student achievement by honoring outstanding students and alumni.

Students are nominated for awards by faculty members in four categories. The President's Academic Excellence Award is given to students who excel academically. The Horizon Award honors students who have significantly contributed their time and energy to the college and/or the community. The Spirit Award is given to those who have made full use of their college experiences to maximize their academic potential. Former students are nominated for the Alumnus of the Year Award, which is reserved for former students who have brought pride to the college through outstanding achievements after leaving NTCC.
