The Northeast Texas Community College Eagles Softball program will host an open tryout and evaluation day on Sunday, Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. at the NTCC softball field. The event is open to girls who will graduate from high school in 2013 or 2014. This evaluation will give athletes a chance to showcase their skills in hitting, fielding, throwing, base running, catching, and pitching. All athletes should plan to bring a glove, bat, batting helmet, and cleats. Catchers will need to bring their own personal catching gear. Softball pants are recommended.
The cost of the event is $20 per athlete. Students will need to bring a copy of a current physical from 2012 and sign a release form before participating.
