NTCC holds winter commencement

Northeast Texas Community College held its winter 2011 commencement ceremony at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, Dec. 16. During the ceremony, 102 students were awarded associate degrees and 42 earned certificates of competency in their chosen fields. John Coleman, NTCC Associate Faculty Member in Psychology gave the commencement address. Pictured above, Matthew James Burt, of Lone Star, gives the student response as NTCC President Dr. Brad Johnson looks on. Burt received an Associate of Applied Science in welding. He maintained a 4.0 grade point average in spite of working full time during his studies.
